SmarterMail Sync tabs not showing in Outlook 2007 and Vista

If you experience this problem, perform the following steps:

  1. Using Task Manager, ensure that the Outlook.exe process is not running on your PC.  If it is, reboot or exist out Outlook.
  2. Uninstall and Reinstall SmarterMail Sync.

If SmarterMail Sync still does not appear, do the following:

  1. In Outlook go to Tools and Trust Center.
  2. Select Add-ins.
  3. Uncheck Apply Macro Security settings to install Add-Ins.
  4. Click OK.

If you are still having a problem, verify that the User Account Control feature of Windows Vista is enabled. You can verify this at:

  1. In Windows Vists go to the Start menu.
  2. Click the Control Panel.
  3. Choose User Accounts.
  4. Click Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off.
  5. Ensure that the UAC control is On.

Once it is enabled, you will need uninstall and reinstall SmarterMail Sync.
